How do You Balance Your Work Kids as a Freelance Writer?
This one is fairly simple, you balance your work and children the same as you would any other job. The only difference is that you are working at home instead of outside the home. This means you may choose to not have childcare, although some people who work at home still keep child care because they wouldn't get any work done any other way.
If your children are in school, you simply work during school time. You can also work a few hours while they are in bed. If that's still not enough time, consider putting in an hour or two by getting up earlier than your children. Balancing your work life an home life is never easy, the key is having a structured schedule and sticking too it. For example, if your kids are home while you are working, you might try working for an hour or two at at time. Work an hour and then do a fun activity with the kids for an hour. This way they don't feel neglected and they understand when it's work time, it's work time.
There are a lot of options, these are just a few that I use. Let's here fro other freelance writing moms, though!
